Fax machines may be vulnerable to hackers, new report finds.

The Israel-based software company, Check Point, is warning us that our fax machines are
vulnerable to being hacked.

This is important because doctor offices are still using them.

Hackers can use the fax as an entry to the whole network of a company.

Legal, medical, banking and real estate are some of the industries still using faxes because

they are believed to be more secure than email. "The report also advises that the phone
line connected to an all in one machine should be disconnected if a user or organization does

not use the fax functions."
